Tuesday Evening, December 11, 2007 (later)

Oh yeah -- State Senator Bob Margett visited Dave today. Dave actually didn't wake up but Bob was very gracious and left a kind note. The Cardinal, a State Senator. I guess I should have been nicer to Dave all these years.

Hey David,
Just a quick hello from North Carolina. Leslie and Rick arrive today for Andrew's graduation weekend. Needless to say, everyone's very excited - especially Steve and me because Andrew will officially be "off the payroll" as of Sunday!! Woo Hoo...
I hope all's going well with your recovery. I miss you and your baby blues....plus, no one needs me to shovel here!!
Hugs and Kisses.

Dave,
We had our Annual Christmas Meeting this morning with the entire sales staff. You had a roomful of thoughts and prayers coming your way, but I think you were sorely missed, Especially since Joe MC'd the meeting. He gave away a lot of prizes, though. (Joe, was I supposed to tell?) Anyway, things are going on here as normal. But that doesn't give you the excuse to lollygag around and not do your physical therapy. I miss you.
Hugs and Kisses

Great Morning Dave!!
A state senator, too??????
Seriously, Joe should be doing a lot more bowing and scraping and taking a few less pot shots!
I knew you had friends in high places- you really can't beat God and a Cardinal (even in poker)- but now politicians! Holy cow!
We all should have been doing a little more sucking up.
I guess it takes a little bit of an illness to gather the proper respect. Okay, point made.
Game over- you win!!!
Now up and at 'em big guy. Time for therapy and learning new tricks.
I am sure the good Cardinal will not be in to do your therapy for you today- or the afore mentioned commercials (wishful.....actually delusional.... thinking on Joe's part- even though he blamed it on you.)
You have so much to look forward to!
Put this time lying around in PJ's to good use. Think of all the cool ways you can get even with Joe when you are better.
Need help or are you good with this one on your own?
Seriously, these little setbacks in life can allow someone (named Joe) to use their power for good or for evil. You might want to check Joe's (perfect) head and see if there are little nubs where horns may be sprouting.
And your appetite is lost? Seriously? Comfort food is required here!
Do I need to fly out with my amazing mashed potatoes made only with sour cream and butter? How about Chicken Paprikash- I make a killer dish with just a hnt or two of hot Hungarian paprika and...sour cream again.
Hungarians are like that- we excel at sour cream and heart attacks.
Anyway....enough fun and frolick. You have things to do. GET BETTER!!
Hugs and love to you, Marla, your adorable brother Joe (seriously, one french fry short of a happy meal, that boy!) and the rest of your wonderful family from your not so secret admirer in Cleveland, Ohio.
Cleveland is praying for you-
Christine

Dave:

Goodmorning! Just wanted you to know that I have asked some of my friends to pray for you! Hopefully the Browns and the Altmans will be able to get together soon for our annual holiday brunch. I guess that depends on when you will be home. We will be looking forward to that day. Have a good day and keep strong. Thinking of you!

Hey David,

Where is Joe!

It's Thursday all ready and no update since Tuesday. I guess he deserves a day off too, huh. I will be going to Mass and saying my prayers. Work hard and get that rest.
Mary here at Dr. Skurow's office.

Hey Dave,
It's Paige & Deven Soderblom! Merry Christmas, Get Well Soon and Thinking of You!!!!
We really, really, really, really missed you at the meeting on Wednesday morning. Joe told this quick story to the front row about how he had one of those "clappers" in his home for the lights and that he had to get rid of it because it was a bother during certain social situations. Of coarse, several pictures raced through my mind that NO ONE should have to start the day seeing!
We miss you so much and give Marla our love.
