Thursday Morning November 29, 2007

There's not a lot of news from yesterday. We are still waiting for the results of testing so a course of action can be determined.

There is a chance that Dave will be transferred today to another facility; one that specializes in the treatment of cancer and cancer related illnesses. I'm including this in case anyone plans on trying to get a hold of him at San Dimas Hospital. I will keep you informed.

What? Who? Oh, I have to run -- someone from the Archdiocese of Los Angeles is on the phone. This is what I get for my lame attempts at humor.

Dave,

Ann and I are keeping you in our thoughts and prayers. As I have said, God broke the mold when he made you! There are few people in this world that truly make a difference...you are one of them! If anyone can overcome obstacles thrown at them, it is you! I appreciate the friendship we've had over the past several years and look forward to renewing that relationship for a long, long time. God Bless You!

Hi Dave,

I'm at the University Medical Center with Mom & Dad. We want you to know that we're thinking and praying for you and your family!!! Mom and Dad are staying here at the hospital this week. Mom just had her (6th) last chemo treatment on Monday. She continues to have radiation daily. Mom said if she can do chemo and radiation at 81 years old she knows that you can do it too and come out smiling!!!! God Bless you all. We'll call you soon. Love, Kristi, Ange & Milt

Dear Dave & Marla,
Gary just called, he had a blow-out near Palm Springs. He is OK. Road service is on the way. He will need to go into PS to get a new tire before continuing home. That will make him late arriving. We will let you know when he arrives safely.
I am so glad he got to spend time with you. I could not have kept him home for ANYTHING!!!!
You are always in our prayers. My hair dresser is even praying. Her name is Friedman.
Loads of love,
Judy

Dave, Our group here at Village RV have you in our prayers as well. Louisville wasn't the same without you all there. Just another hill to climb. Won't be your first or last. All our best. Bruce and the gang at Village

Hi Dave, this is Barb. We were so taken by surprise about your latest health issue. Please know you are in our thoughts and prayers. You are such a faith-filler individual, that I am certain that Jesus is by your side and helping you to cope day by day. It took me all morning to read your blogs. The testomonies to your person are outstanding. I am proud to know this person called Dave. Keep smiling, we'll keep praying and the next thing I will know Dave is home and answering all of his blogs. What a brother in Joe you have. Tell him thanks for keeping us informed. Tell Marla we are praying also for strength for her. It can't be easy seeing you this way. Special prayers are being said today for the plan of action to rid you of this horrible disease....God speed, DeWayne and Barb

Hey Dave: This is Barb. We are very concerned about your recent hospital stay. Please be assured we have you in our thoughts and prayers. It took me most of the morning to read the accolades of Dave. You have many friends and they are all pulling for you, as we are. You are a faith-filled individual who has Jesus at your side every moment helping you to overcome this dreadful invasion of your body. Your spirits are good and the ever draw of humor is ready. We wish you the best, God bless you and the next blog we will be eager to hear is that you are on your way home. Kudos to brother Joe for keeping all informed. Give our best to Marla and tell her we are praying for strength for this cross she is carrying now. Love, DeWayne and Barb
